Still have the 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan and was hearing a consistently loud squeal from the engine compartment. I thought it might be a belt pulley or alternator bearing going out. Took it to Everett Street Auto Works, they pulled off the serpentine belt to examine it, and when they put it back on, the noise stopped. They promptly called me to tell me my vehicle was ready to be picked up and that there was no charge.
